a trailer ride that is! Hithger came and picked him up this afternoon. I spent some time telling him good bye, he's such a sweet little guy I'm gonna miss him! I know he'll get all sorts of training at the rescue & will most likely be up for adoption fairly soon! Rocky & Daisy of course were hollering after him, it's so funny because most of the time they don't give him the time of day & here they are acting like they can't live with out him! Or maybe they're just jealous they didn't get picked for the trailer ride!  They quickly got over it though.

So good luck to Ceelo, I hope you find a fantastic home because you are an awesome little dude!!

Little man is coming along nicely! Yesterday I was able to halter him 3x, and he stood quietly while I did!!
this morning, I worked on haltering again.  Put it on twice, then the third time I tied it, he started backing up. He's telling me I went too fast! I didn't pull on the halter or try to stop him from backing up. I just stayed with him until he stopped & removed it. I put it on 2 more times, but didn't tie it. I c/t for him standing still with the halter on, but not tied. I'll continue to do this along with fiddle with the strap like I'm tying it.

He also met the target stick today, he touched it right away!  But then Daisy figured out that I was playing clicker games with him - I think it's because she saw the target stick. She is beyond obsessed with that thing. while I was shooing her away, still with the stick on me - but pointed backwards behind me, I must've scared little man just a bit. when I asked him to touch the stick again he said no. I had him target my hand again, which he did. Then I brought the stick back, but had it only sticking out from my hand maybe 6", I asked him to touch it & he did!!  So when they get 'stuck' or if you went too fast, go back to something they know & are confident with.

I've been able to approach him & scratch him quite a bit, he's doing really well. I even gave him scratchings last night in the dark!!
